Our Story
Alphabet Plus is a true example of necessity breeding innovation. Alphabet Plus was created in 2009 to support my 3-year-old daughter on her reading and understanding journey. A chart with such combinations as included in my Flashcards and Companion Worksheets could not be found. I decided to challenge the norm and to create an alphabet guide, which included combinations that are common but difficult to pronounce. Fast forward to 2021 and my three daughters contributed to this current body of work!
The use of this chart has been an amazing, consistent success! Alphabet Plus is designed for Preschool to 5th Grade, as well as for different learning groups who may find them useful. The Alphabet Plus Flashcards and Companion Worksheets are sold as PDF downloads. They can be printed for single use and/or laminated for multiple practice and easy to erase options. A Glossary for parental reference in times of uncertainty is also included.

Workbook
The Alphabet Plus Workbook enables children to recognize and be aware of special sounds in common combination letters of the English language. Through practice and consistency, the idea is to assist in reading and spelling, making it easier through recognition of these common combinations. Of course, they do not apply to ALL, as we know English can get complicated, however they do to the most common words at their reading levels. This is challenging and allows children to become creative and excited about their new world of understanding the word combinations around them!
